TL;DR

We collect only what's necessary to run HabitQuest. We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. Your projects are private by default. You can delete your account and data at any time.

What We Collect

When you use HabitQuest, we collect:

Account info -- email address, display name, and profile nickname you provide at signup
Usage data -- projects, tasks, store items, and points you create within the app
Technical data -- basic server logs for security and debugging purposes

We do not collect location data, contacts, or any data from your device beyond what's needed to run the web app.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

Provide and improve the HabitQuest service
Send essential account-related emails (password resets, invitations)
Ensure security and prevent abuse

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Sharing & Visibility

Your projects and habits are private by default. Only people you explicitly invite to a project can see its contents.

Your display name and profile nickname may be visible to other members within shared projects.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only -- for authentication and session management. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no third-party advertising cookies.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account:

All your personal data is permanently removed
Projects you created are deleted along with their tasks and store items
This action is irreversible
